Privacy Policy

Effective July 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how [Company legal name](“Slideso”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use slideso.com and the Slideso application. By using Slideso, you agree to the practices described here.

01. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run Slideso:

  • Account information — your name and email address when you sign up, and authentication data used to keep you signed in. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes; we never see them in plain text.
  • Content you create — the prompts you write, documents and files you upload, URLs you import, and the presentations, themes, and brand kit (including any logo) you produce and store.
  • Billing information — your plan and credit balance. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy; we do not receive or store full card numbers.
  • Usage and device data — log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and actions taken, used to operate and secure the service.
  • Cookies — essential cookies to keep you signed in and the product working. Any analytics cookies are used only to understand aggregate usage, and only where permitted.

02. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • provide, maintain, and improve Slideso;
  • generate, edit, export, and share your presentations at your request;
  • process payments, manage your plan, and account for credit usage;
  • send service messages (for example, sign-in and billing notices);
  • detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, and security issues;
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your presentations for advertising.

03. How your content is processed by AI

Slideso is an AI product, so generating or editing a presentation means sending the relevant content — your prompt, any uploaded documents, imported URL text, and the slide content you ask us to change — to third-party AI model providers that act as our processors. They use it to return the result to you.

We send only what a given request needs, and we do not sell your content or use it for advertising. These providers process your content under their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. If you would prefer certain material not be processed by AI, do not include it in a prompt, upload, or import.

04. How we share information

We share information only with:

  • Service providers (sub-processors) we rely on to run Slideso — cloud hosting and databases, AI model providers, our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy), email delivery, and error/usage monitoring — each only to the extent needed to perform their function.
  • People you choose to share with — when you create a public or password-protected share link, anyone with the link (and password, if set) can view that presentation.
  • Legal and safety — where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Slideso, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

05. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete a presentation it is removed from your account; when you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes. Residual copies may persist in backups for a limited time before being overwritten.

06. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can edit your profile and delete your presentations at any time in the app, and you can request account deletion or exercise other rights by contacting us at privacy@slideso.com.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, your consent (where asked), and compliance with law. If you are a California resident, we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and you may exercise your rights without discrimination.

07. Security

We protect your information with measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and scoped data access so one account cannot reach another’s content. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.

08. International data transfers

Slideso is operated from, and relies on providers located in, various countries including the United States. Using the service may involve transferring your information to countries whose data-protection laws differ from those where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

09. Children's privacy

Slideso is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at privacy@slideso.com and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the product or by email. Continued use of Slideso after an update means you accept the revised policy.
