## How do you make an AI presentation in another language?

Write the prompt in that language. There is no language menu to find and nothing to switch: a prompt in Arabic produces an Arabic deck, a prompt in Hindi a Hindi one. The instruction is added before planning starts, so the outline is already in your language.

Most AI deck tools leave this to chance — the model usually infers the language and sometimes drifts to English, especially on a short prompt or one that wraps a non-English topic in an English instruction. Slideso removes the guess: the prompt's letters are counted, the dominant script is identified, and the planner and writer are both told, in words, which language every string must be in.

## Which languages does it support?

Any language the underlying model writes well. Twenty writing systems are recognised by name: Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Devanagari, Bengali, Gurmukhi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Sinhala, Thai, Georgian, Armenian, Hangul, Japanese kana and Han.

It is deliberately a script detector rather than a language classifier. Naming the script is exact — you can count letters — where guessing the language from a twelve-word prompt is not, and telling a model “this prompt is in Devanagari script, write every slide in that language” is enough for it to name the language itself. Languages that share a script are separated by the model, not the detector: Latin alone covers Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Polish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Swahili and the rest.

## What exactly gets written in my language?

Every string a reader sees. Slide titles, eyebrows, body copy, bullets, table and chart labels, and the speaker notes under each slide are all written in the prompt's language, not translated afterwards.

- Exceptions, by design: proper nouns, product names and code stay as they are.

## Do Arabic and Hebrew decks lay out right-to-left?

Yes. Arabic and Hebrew are flagged as right-to-left when the script is detected. In the editor the browser's bidirectional algorithm handles it; in the exported PowerPoint each right-to-left paragraph is explicitly marked, and left and right alignment are swapped.

The alignment swap is the part naive exporters get wrong. PowerPoint does not infer direction from the text, so without the flag an Arabic line renders with its punctuation on the wrong side. And “left-aligned” for a right-to-left reader means the far margin, so an engine that copies its alignment values straight across produces a deck where every block hangs off the wrong edge. Slideso marks the paragraph and mirrors the alignment, per line, so mixed decks behave too.

## Will the theme fonts cover my script?

Not always, and this is the honest limit. Theme fonts are Latin-first. A script they do not carry — Devanagari, Arabic, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean — is drawn in the system or Noto fallback face, so the deck reads correctly but the typography is not the theme's.

Layout still holds, because the engine measures those scripts properly rather than assuming Latin widths. Per-script advance widths taken from Noto Sans averages mean a Hindi heading wraps about where the browser wraps it, Chinese is measured at a full em per glyph instead of overflowing the slide, Arabic no longer floats in whitespace, and combining marks — matras, harakat, vowel signs — are correctly measured as advancing nothing.

It is a good estimate, not a metric-exact one. Preview the deck before you send it, and if a specific font matters, set it in the brand kit and check it on the machine that will present: the exported .pptx names the font, and the presenting computer supplies the fallback.

## Can it translate a deck I already made?

No. There is no translate button, and the AI edit on a single text block answers in the language of the block it is editing. Language is decided when the deck is generated. To get the same deck in a second language, generate it again with the prompt written in that language.

**What if my prompt mixes English and another language?**
The script with the most letters wins, and Latin wins an exact tie. So an English instruction wrapping a short non-English topic will usually produce an English deck. Write the whole prompt in the language you want the slides in, and the deck follows it.

**Are the speaker notes in the deck's language too?**
Yes. Notes are written in the same language as the slides, so the person presenting is not reading English prompts over non-English slides. They travel with the deck into the .pptx export.
